Right in town, anglers can try their luck in Spearfish Creek, or head out to drop their lines into one of the many lakes, rivers, and creeks throughout the Hills to the south. Bird watchers will also find Spearfish and the surrounding area to be a paradise filled with rare sights.

For those who prefer to take in the fresh air on the links, two golf clubs in Spearfish are waiting to challenge you. The Spearfish Canyon Country Club offers 18 holes of championship level golf, and there is a 9-hole public course at Elkhorn Ridge. Both courses offer fabulous views of the Black Hills.

Spearfish also welcomes you to view spectacular foliage in the fall and enjoy winter activities including snowmobiling and cross-country skiing on groomed trails.
